Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) is an empirically-supported, 5-day intensive or less intensive 8 sessions plus half day silent retreat, training program designed to cultivate the skill of self-compassion. MSC has been developed from the ground-breaking research of Kristen Neff and the clinical expertise of Christopher Germer. The three key components of mindful self-compassion are self-kindness, a sense of common humanity, and balanced, mindful awareness. Research demonstrates that self-compassion is strongly associated with emotional wellbeing, less anxiety depression and stress as well as the maintenance of healthy habits.
The next MSC course taught by Malcolm will be in Coffs Harbour NSW 20th-24th April 2018. He will be assisted by Lisa Brown, trained MSC teacher, psychologist, yoga and MBSR teacher.
