Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) is an empirically-supported, 5-day intensive or less intensive 8 sessions plus half day silent retreat, training program designed to cultivate the skill of self-compassion. MSC has been developed from the ground-breaking research of Kristen Neff and the clinical expertise of Christopher Germer. The three key components of mindful self-compassion are self-kindness, a sense of common humanity, and balanced, mindful awareness. Research demonstrates that self-compassion is strongly associated with emotional wellbeing, less anxiety depression and stress as well as the maintenance of healthy habits.
The next MSC workshop co-taught by Malcolm will be on the Gold Coast on the 22nd-26th July 2017 at Kirra Hill Beach Community Centre, 1 Garrick St, Coolangatta, QLD, 4225. Here is a flyer for this intensive: July 2017 MSC Flyer for 5day Workshop Gold Coast
