Mindful Self Compassion (MSC) 5 day intensive on the Gold Coast July 22nd-26th 2017

Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) is an empirically-supported, 5-day intensive or less intensive 8 sessions  plus half day silent retreat, training program designed to cultivate the skill of self-compassion.  MSC has been developed from the ground-breaking research of Kristen Neff and the clinical expertise of Christopher Germer. The three key components of mindful self-compassion are self-kindness, a sense of common humanity, and balanced, mindful awareness. Research demonstrates that self-compassion is strongly associated with emotional wellbeing, less anxiety depression and stress as well as the maintenance of healthy habits.

The next MSC workshop co-taught by Malcolm will be on the Gold Coast on the 22nd-26th July 2017 at Kirra Hill Beach Community Centre, 1 Garrick St, Coolangatta, QLD, 4225.   Here is a flyer for this intensive:   July 2017 MSC Flyer for 5day Workshop Gold Coast

This 5-day workshop will be presented by Marie Bloomfield and Mal Huxter who are both clinical psychologists in private practice. They have also both been training professionals and teaching mindfulness and self-compassion practices in public mental health services as well as the corporate, academic and private sectors for decades. Mal is the author of “Healing the heart and mind with mindfulness. Ancient path, present moment Routledge 2016.
