Mindful Self Compassion-8 week course Lismore June-August 2017

Mindful Self Compassion-8 week course Lismore June-August 2017

Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) is an empirically-supported, 8-week (8 sessions as well as a half day silent retreat), training program designed to cultivate the skill of self-compassion.  MSC has been developed from the ground-breaking research of Kristen Neff and the clinical expertise of Christopher Germer. The three key components of mindful self-compassion are self-kindness, a sense of common humanity, and balanced, mindful awareness. Research demonstrates that self-compassion is strongly associated with emotional wellbeing, less anxiety depression and stress as well as the maintenance of healthy habits.
